Welcome to the LGA Consultation on Public Sector Reform
The Government is committed to place-based public service reform (PSR) and rewiring governance in England. Government has made several announcements outlining their commitments to this agenda, pushing ahead with further devolution, police and health reform, a focus on neighbourhoods and community services, and alignment of public service boundaries.
The LGA is currently developing a clear, credible and sector-led vision for public service reform to engage effectively with the Government’s agenda and support its members to better deliver for their communities. The first stage of this work is to develop a list of solutions, identifying specific actions that government can take to remove barriers and allow faster local public service reform to support improved outcomes.
